An accident is an event caused by a sudden, unforeseeable cause beyond the will of the Policyholder or the Insured Person that results in bodily injury or death.

There are individual policies, where the Policyholder and the Insured Person are the same individual, and group policies, taken out by a corporate entity (company, association, or club) to protect multiple people with common interests.

It is important because Accident is a risk present for anyone.
